Start with the dimensions
Measure the available space and the access route. A sofa also needs to pass through doors, stairways and lifts.
Ask for useful views
An overall view shows the proportions. Close-ups reveal stitching, edges, joints and signs of use.
Document the provenance
An invoice, label and known history complement the photographs. Missing information must be clearly identified as such.
